A Minnesota lawyer who went to prison in 2011 for tax evasion and later had his license restored is back on a state panel that holds attorneys accountable. Cale Lavoie, 46, of Pillager, was charged with three counts of theft and fraud, the Hennepin County district attorney's office said. The allegations stem from an investigation by the Minnesota State Board of Criminal Appraisals that found 12 listings related to the Hotline Pillagers (YP). A man from northern Minnesota is accused of embezzling more than $350,000 while working as a private attorney for a Minnesota law firm in his home state and using the money for his cabin.
